Ping Du is a user research specialist with academic training and hands-on experience. She has expertise in using eye tracking and facial expressions for user studies, and has published a book chapter on using eye tracking for understanding consumer product evaluations. She has an interdisciplinary background spanning Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Consumer Behavior, and Psychology. Her interests include UX research, UX design, data analysis, human-computer interaction, and consumer behavior. Currently, Ping Du is a Ph.D. candidate at Iowa State University, expected to graduate in Spring 2016. She is also a Visiting Student Researcher at Stanford University during Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. She received her B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2010.
