As lead user experience (UX) researcher at Expedia, Susan Motte, evaluated, adopted and now uses electromyography (EMG) to assess customer emotional reactions. Susan has over 20 years experience as a UX research consultant in the greater Seattle area, with a particular passion and expertise in both delight research and ethnographic research. She has studied thousands of people around the globe and is delighted when conducting research that substantially improves how well technology engages and satisfies user needs. Susan is especially skilled at uncovering latent needs by observing natural task flow in customer environments. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science from McGill University and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering (focus: Human Factors Engineering) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
